Myofascial Cupping

Applied gently after localized injury myofascial cupping can:
• prevent scarring
• correctly align collagen during repair stage
• assist in reduction of localized inflammation and aids recovery.

How it works

Myofascial Cupping is a modified version of the ancient Eastern-style cupping, major differences include: targeting the muscular skeletal system rather than meridian systems and using the cups in a moving sequence rather than stationary. At the end of the 20th century, another method of suction was developed in which a valve was constructed at the top of the jar and a small hand-operated pump is attached so that the practitioner could suction out air without relying on fire (thus having greater control over the amount of suction). In order to allow easy movement of the glass cups along the skin, some lotion is applied. Myofascial Cupping uses a vacuum cupping set. Cupping is applied to regions of the body that are affected by pain. A certain amount of bruising is expected with cupping.
